The pub is very easy to find as it's in the middle of Nottingham right opposite the Royal Concert Hall. It's a smart Hogshead Ale House run by the Whitbread brewery. There's one main bar with bare brick walls and wooden floor and plenty of wooden chairs and tables at the front with more to the left towards the back. The staff were friendly and efficient and the food that we bought was very reasonably priced. If you are after a meal at the pub do ring to check that they will be serving food at the time you wish to visit, as there did seem to be some discrepancies as to exactly when food is on offer!

Beerwise they had a good selection on offer with nine real ales, all of which tasted on good form. Several of the beers were from some of the breweries that Whitbread have bought up over the years with three from smaller independent micro-breweries.

A smart pub with good food and good beer ideally positioned for a before/after show meal and/or drink. Oh yes, and if you're a CAMRA member take your card along as they'll give you 20p discount on a pint.
